A beautiful encounter tonight, since I can't sleep, and I need some inspiration.
Speaking of inspiration, how do you get it when you are working on something you aren't really into it much anymore, or when your head is occupied by other million of exiting things but the one you have to work on?....
This past Sunday our beloved cooking and drawing night turned into noir photo and movie session!
We went to Castro Theater to the Noir City film noir festival, then we dressed up, drank delish sangria and eat a colorful fresh salad, Diana prepared, and we also ordered pizza.
Photos taken by Turki Alrwaita and Clautopia :)
“I suspect that the mind, like the feet, works at about three miles an hour. If this is so, then modern life is moving faster than the speed of thought, or thoughtfulness.” writes Rebeca Solnit
It has been too long.
First: The year finished, with a lot of good things and lots of burned bridges, My apologies to the ones I flaked to, to the late calls, to the no calls at all etc...
Second: 2016 started working in place i really like, in a cold day and riding my friends bike, that believe it or not is too small for me!
Third: I was just part of an art show! here some photos, of a great night! Thanks to the marvelous Jungshih and Little lodge gallery!!
Not much to say but some images to share!
Cheers to everybody and the best of all in 2016!!!
This past week I had the great opportunity of sharing photos, videos and animations at AJplus instagram about the new documentary I am directing, placed in the mountains of Colombia. I spent a month there looking for music, musicologists, musicians, guitars, tunes and fascinating stories about a tradicional Colombian music from the mountains. I met a lot of people, I had mind blowing conversations, I fall in love with my country once again, and I found the story I want to tell!!.
If you know ways of applying for money, or if you are interested in co producing the film, feel free to send me a message!! I would love to chat about it!
Happy Monday Everyone!!

The best for Mimi, For Wellington and Sean, and for the incredible inspiring people that is making changes in this society, that believe in a better world! So much love for the people in Oakland.
Usually when people are sad, they don't do anything. They just cry over their condition. But when they get angry, they bring about a change. -Malcolm X-
